An operator can select from 17 pre-set folds or set up to 100 custom folds, all with touch screen ease. The AFC-746 can handle a wide range of papers up to a maximum sheet width of 24.6”, at speeds up to 36,000 sheets per hour. The Standard Horizon AF-566T4F Buckle-buckle Folder is a fully automated six + four-buckle folder that accepts sheets up to 21.9” x 34”. The AF-566T4F has the “intelligent automation” that is built into all Horizon post-press products, best illustrated by the intuitive, icon-based, 10.4” color touchscreen that displays all common fold formats and sheet sizes for easy selection. Precise stepper motors drive end stops and fold plates to the exact location for the sheet size and fold style selected. Up to 200 custom jobs can be stored in memory for easy recall, with automated make-ready in as little as 14 seconds.
The AF-566T4F is equipped with 6 buckles on the first station and 4 on the second station–which can be added straight or at a right angle–for maximum application flexibility. This folder has been designed to serve the graphic arts and digital print markets, with ultra-quick changeovers and specially-formulated combination roller and scoring systems that handle sensitive digitally-imaged sheets without marking.

AF 406A
The Standard Horizon AF-406A is a small-format automated 6-buckle folder with pile feed and suction head with an optional 6-buckle second unit that can be added straight or cross-wise, for sheet sizes from 1.99” x 3.94” up to 15.7” x 25.6”. Small folds down to .79” can be performed. This provides application flexibility, especially for the insert, outsert, and pharmaceutical markets. The AF-406 has 17 pre-set fold patterns. For production efficiency, 200 custom jobs can be stored in memory for easy recall, with automated make-ready in seconds. A user-friendly 10.4” color touch-screen control panel displays all common fold formats and sheet sizes for easy selection and automated setup.

PF-40
The Standard Horizon PF-40 is an excellent suction feed folder for the smaller sheet sizes. Simply select sheet size and fold pattern and each section sets-up automatically. The folder is equiped with 2 buckles to meet a variety of folds. Folded sheets are neatly stacked on the delivery conveyor for easy job handling. Up to 1,000 sheets can be stacked for efficient production. Registration guide ensures accurate sheet transportation and a high quality fold. High capacity feed table to minimize sheet loading during longer production runs. Crisp tight fold quality is ensured with high grip rubber fold rollers. Roller gap can be adjusted with a simple dial to fold thinner to thicker sheets. High performance suction rotor feeding and accurate sheet registration leads to high quality folding. Up to 10 jobs can be stored in memory for instant recall, this is especially useful for repeat and complicated jobs. Uniquely designed suction rotor feeding is employed to meet high speed production up to 390 sheets per minute, wide range of paper stock can be fed with ease.
Durafold Series
Modular Construction
In designing the Durafold folding machine programme the idea of modular is being further advanced. All models can be supplied with simple basic equipment that includes manual folding plates, scoring, perforating and slitting capabilities. As the requirements change, the Durafold can be upgraded at any time. The modular upgrades include fully programmable plates, right angle folding capabilities or a deep pile sheet feeder.
Computer Aided Folding (CAF)
Just in time production, “Finishing On Demand” has become an indispensable requirement of the printing industry. With the automatic folding plates as well as the modern and simple menu-guided control unit, the Durafold folder recognizes the need to reduce set-up time during the folding operation. The automatic Durafold folder has most standard folds pre-programmed into it as well up to 99 custom jobs to be programmed into its memory. It takes only a few seconds to change over to a totally new job.
